Elisha Gilb,  School Counselor My name is Elisha Gilb, and this is my first year at St. Bernadette Catholic School. I am the school counselor for the 2009-10 school year. I am working in conjunction with the Catholic Charities School-Based Intern Program. I am a Colorado native who grew up in the Lakewood area. I have a Bachelor of Liberal Arts with an emphasis in philosophy from Regis University. I will complete my Master of Arts in Counseling in May of 2010, also from Regis. I am a wife and mother of two boys, and I love the joys and challenges of that path. I am passionate about working with children of all ages. I truly enjoy working with and getting to know students, faculty, staff, and the entire St. Bernadette Catholic School Community.

Karen Jewell,  Speech Therapist I am Karen Jewell, the Speech/Language Pathologist at St. Bernadette School. I graduated from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA in 1981 with a Bachelor Degree in Communication Disorders. I then earned a Master of * Degree in 1984 at the University of Colorado-Boulder. Most of my twenty-six year career has been in school-based speech therapy. I specialize in articulation and auditory processing difficulties, and I work with children who have many different kinds of learning and developmental disabilities. My therapy services are available each Tuesday to all children enrolled at St. Bernadette School who need speech, language, or auditory therapy. St. Bernadette School is a special place to work because everyone here is so accepting and welcoming. It is truly a blessed community, of which I feel privileged to be a part. I am committed to working in the Catholic school system because our children often don't receive the special services that public schools provide, though our children are equally in need. I hope that my services encourage parents to choose our wonderful school.
