Carol Mackey, English and Language Arts
My name is Carol Mackey, and I received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Eastern Illinois University and continue to enhance my education by taking graduate courses and attending
seminars. I have taught in high school and later found my "calling" teaching
middle school. After taking a hiatus to raise my children, I returned
as a teacher's aide for five years, gaining years of classroom experience from kindergarten to high school. This is currently my
twenty-fourth year of teaching, fourteen years of which have been at St.
Bernadette Catholic School, where I continue to enjoy teaching because of the strong feeling of community and the small
classroom size that allows teachers to provide students with more individual attention. My husband Tom and I have been married for thirty-eight years, and we have three grown children and three
grandchildren. |

Mary Beth Sullivan, Math and Science
My name is Mary Beth Sullivan, and I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology and
am currently in the Biology Masters Program at CU Boulder. I have been teaching
for eight years, and this is my first year at St. Bernadette Catholic School. I grew up in Northwest Indiana, and I am a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan. I have
been married twent-five years to my husband Ron, and we have three children,
ages sixteen, nineteen, and twenty-two. I love teaching at St. Bernadette because the students
are so well-behaved and truly want to learn. |

Marla Hart, Religion and Social Studies
My name is Marla Hart, and I am a native of Colorado. I graduated from Metropolitan State College with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. I am married and
have two children. I have worked at St. Bernadette Catholic School for the past four years and in Religious Education in the Archdiocese for about fifteen years. I enjoy teaching at St. Bernadette
because I can share my passion for the Holy Catholic Church and my love of Jesus Christ with others. |
